It really is all show business.  Chin up.  Don’t let ‘em see you sweat.  Always carry yourself well, even if you want to pluck out people’s eyes and shove them up their respective arses.  Confide in your friends but only those who will not use your stories as fodder.  Let everyone see you as complete, even if you feel fractured inside.

Don’t put your shit on Facebook.  People won’t sympathize – they will mock.

So freaking what if that’s a line from The Object of My Affection (1998).  It’s totally appropriate considering my dire situation.  Ok, it’s not dire but it’s not fun.  There have been a myriad of things that could have gone better for me in 2011 and we are only a few days in but I swear to Sweet Jesus that I am a survivor and will not be driven mad by my obviously defunct luck so far this year.  (That’s not an invite for Sweet Jesus to mess with my constitution more; it’s just a proclamation of my inner strength.)

In other news, can you drink too much Propel?  I have only Propel, regular water and booze in the apartment and so I have been drinking Propel in abundance since getting into vodka at 10am is socially frowned upon.  I just hope it doesn’t shut down my liver or kidneys which would absolutely cause 2011 to become infinitely worse.
